I've had my eye on this place for ages and finally after my last photo session before Xmas this morning (+a last minute grab of festive gifts)…I landed here.
I'm in heaven. Not quite ready to reflect upon the year but ready to hibernate for family time, peace + fresh air.
I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a beautiful Christmas and Happy Holidays!
On this grey, rainy Friday I thought sharing these guys might lift the mood!
Photographed around Shoreditch + Brick Lane, I love the ever changing graphics, the blasts of colour casually illuminating the area and pops of wow when you see something new.
It had been a while since I photographed a session around this area and I always arrive way before a session is scheduled to reccy the area and with the light beautifully pouring down the high street I was excited with what lay ahead in our session.

Just beyond Spitalfields and on the way to Brick Lane is a outdoor studio delight - if you LOVE texture + rustic colours lol.

As I mentioned!!! THAT LIGHT - I mean hello!!!! We also met the owner of the shop these two are in front of + who had arrived to open and kindly and graciously let some smooching happen before he got to work :-) #LOVELONDON

To start and end a year with beautiful proposals is, for me, epic, delightful, heart warming, magical + a blessing. It bookends a year in the most romantic way but there’s something about coming full circle that I just love + I am super grateful for.

Oh...My....Goodness......I am SO EXCITED to share Janaki's & Rajan's wedding at Woolwich Town Hall. It was beyond beautiful!!! The interior of the town hall is spectacular and the colour and vibrance of the decor totally complimented the ceremony and post wedding pictures!!! <3

What is not to love about London in Summer, a roof top, black tie wedding at the ACE HOTEL, Shoreditch??? I loved everything lol and with my assistant we captured all the fun...some as above!!

So I'm just hanging out, early Tuesday morning waiting for my shoot to start upstairs and I notice how pretty the light looks and how in this usually busy pub, it's silent save for me and the barman ...my camera meets my eye and I record what I see, pretty stillness....I feel like Karen Harvey should be with me (of shutter hub and blog fame) wherever she goes she fills her instagram feed with obscure wonderful finds which are a delight to see and very inspiring - maybe she's been rubbing off :-)
Pretty pink ceiling shades, tea cups, wood, grey paint...I mean, how divine! what more could I ask for x
It's amazing to make a positive impact or difference in someones life or create or enhance an amazing experience for them + I am thrilled - I'm not sure that adequately gives justice to just how much I'm smiling, or how much my heart feels really full with delight, but, I had such fun with Erika and reading her story after our session made it even more special! Thank You so much Erika for taking this trip, grabbing Europe with both hands and making me smile xx

I was inspired to take this vacation for several reasons. In 2015 I had a very tough year. My world seemed to spinning out of control. I went through a breakup, I had a major surgery and on top of all that I was feeling stressed out with work. One day, late last year, I decided to take my life back and steer it the way I want it to go. So, on a whim, I bought a plane ticket to Europe and planned a 2 week vacation with my travel agent!
As a first time solo traveler I knew that I was going to have to breakdown and buy a selfie stick to capture myself in precious moments on my trip. But through a quick Google search I stumbled across this little gem called Flytographer! I instantly knew that I had to book them for a photo session in London and Paris when I visited! This concept is so brilliant! Working with Jackie (photographer), Danica, and the rest of the Flytographer team was so easy and, overall, a fantastic experience! Borough Market was the perfect place to bring out the best of me on this trip!
It's funny, I bought a selfie stick for this trip and I haven't used it once! As I was on my photo shoot I notice people taking selfies of themselves with their phones and I thought to myself, "they are so behind the times...Flytographer is so 2016"! Ha" Erika - April 2016
Justin and I spent a fantastic Saturday morning near Borough market and along the South Bank creating head shots and profile pictures for him to use across his social media platforms and business accounts. All natural light we utilised the amazing textures and backgrounds of the area, stretched our legs with the walking and delighted in the sights!!
It's actually not as terrifying having your picture taken as you might think!! :-) xx
This is super close to Victoria Station - so pop in on your way home!! The market is full of amazing artist makers with TONS of gorgeous presents for xmas! Some of us are QEST Scholars who specialise in traditional crafts and were fortunate in being awarded scholarships to pursue training in our fields (the quality is super high!!)

sooo..........I have no excuses, I should have been posting a couple times a week and keeping up with my blog.....I haven't and I feel like a naughty school girl (which completely goes against my 'head girl' status, I'm shinning my halo furiously right now lol)...sooo...
.I've been photographing the most beautiful weddings all over the country and being asked to submit work to magazines, I've done fun mini-sessions and received amazing compliments from my clients :-) I've had ex students get in touch out of the blue and it's been so fantastic to catch up on where they're at AND I've been capturing Bachelorette parties and engagement proposals...which has been such an honour and a real blessing and over the next week I'm going to write about all of them...for now....here are some pictures from these wonderful occasions <3 xx
