Post photo shoot meanderings through town
After a wonderful proposal photo session along the South Bank, I wandered up to Trafalgar Square and through Soho to The Photographers Gallery - did you know its free entry after 5pm Friday!!!???
Two fantastic exhibitions are on right now here, Chris Killip and An Alternative History of Photography
I LOVED both - both absolute tonics for the soul and Chris's work really landed within my heart. His connection with his sitters/friends/places he encountered was breath taking, thought provoking, warm and worth another visit or two :-)
Check them out if you can x
Friday night confessionals…..
So happy to share this cute surprise proposal! Soft tones of beach time in late August/early September in Dorset
There were SO many special, thoughtful touches in the lead up to this moment - I've known Danni and Mark for a couple years, and so when March asked me to photograph this moment I was smiling from ear to ear and so excited! Although keeping it a secret from our friendship group was tough!!!
Danni has special childhood memories of Dorset and her favourite place to be is right here on Portland so it was Marks first choice when deciding where to pop the question and get down on one knee.
The weather was perfect, it was also Dannis birthday and I was hiding behind rocks to avoid being seen!
Tuesday morning reflections
The joy in the morning walk, time spent in nature and new magical discoveries

Last night as I pondered the previous 12 months and reflected upon my photo clients and the sessions I had captured, I wistfully remembered a time when marriage proposals would book end each year and just what a high it is to end and begin each year with the pleasure an joy of capturing these incredible moments. JUST as I was reminiscing a Blog post popped up from Flytographer with their Top 30 Proposals of 2020 and I was BEYOND THRILLED to be included with this fun proposal of Christine + Ann Marie back in earl yMarch <3
Happy January everyone, here’s to a peaceful year ahead xx

You've chosen me to Photograph your wedding - What's Next?
Sample pages from my guide.
A Handy PDF guide you can print out, lands in your inbox!
Once I am booked for your wedding date and your deposit has been paid, I send out a handy guide which gives you all the photography information specifically tailored for your wedding day - the lead up including engagement session and venue visit and afterwards with timelines for your wedding album and picture.
Step 1. BOOK ME, your date is in the diary
Step 2. I send out your guide
Step 3. We book a date for your venue visit and / or engagement pictures on the same day. Your engagement pictures do not have to be at your venue, we can chat through ad select a place that has meaning for you or even where you got engaged. From this visit we choose spot for pictures in all weathers + we go through an example image list (also in the guide) of groups/family/friend pictures you’d like captured.
Step 4 From your engagement pictures you choose images either for your guest book or signing frame and I put all this together + bring it along on your wedding day.
Step 4.5 I check in the week before your wedding, last checks on times and running order of the day (sometimes also offering breathing techniques to help with nerves) :-) x
Step 5 Your Wedding Day!! We have done the leg work on where your pictures will be taken, gotten the lay of the land with the venue so you ease into your magical day and I will go about capturing it.
Step 6. Within 36 hours a sneak peek gallery from your gorgeous day will be live to view and share with your guests, your whole gallery will be ready within 14 days + from there you can decide upon your selection for your album(s). Prints can also be ordered for yourself or your guests.
Step 7. We work together to create and design your wedding album. This process can take a few weeks to a couple of months, I order your album and triple check everything when it comes back before sending it out to you YAY!!
If you have ANY questions along the way I am just at the end of a phone call or an email + have a list of amazing suppliers I can recommend too!
A Kew Gardens Proposal + Engagement Pictures March 2020
Amy + Tony's non wedding, wedding day
Easter Friday, April 10th, 2020
I hope everyone is doing ok + keeping safe + well xx
On what should have been Amy & Tony’s wedding day last Friday I wanted to share such a neat way to commemorate the lockdown. Amy messaged to ask if we could all send over a photo of ourselves at 5pm soooo we all took photos of ourselves in lockdown cheers-ing them at 5pm, the time their speeches were scheduled for and Amy + Tony shared their photo with us too.
Amy is going to showcase all the images for their actually wedding date which has been rescheduled for October 2nd….such a lovely idea + great way to commemorate them + their original wedding date. #stayhome so I wanted to share highlights from their engagement session back in November along Albert Embankment in Chelsea, South London.
BIG LOVE to Amy + Tony and all the couples rescheduling their wedding days xx
About yesterday.....
I learnt (as an observer) a new game “Gin?” or “No Gin?”
The wedding party seemed to love it!!
(If it had been tequila I would have been right in there lol)
Moments of great fun and moments of calm……I’m so excited to edit yesterday’s wedding!!!
Friday afternoon LOVE confessionals.......turned in to Sunday night love vibes
AMY & JOHN - Sept 21st, 2019
Soooo. I have been trying to post this for days, literally since last Wednesday. Poor Amy she must be going crazy wondering where her lovely post is - well, here’s the thing - I have re-arranged, reshuffled, edited, added, taken away + NOTHING seemed to give (to me) adequate justice to just how much emotion and feelings were in John + Amy’s wedding. + esp The Romance, the Light!! + The love, until now.
Amy gave me so many beautiful compliments for her wedding photography I wanted to include this too as I had to re-read her lovely message a couple of times and sit down and read it over again. I always strive to do my best on each wedding day + each wedding day is a live event so anything can happen at any given moment and so to touch or make someone smile by capturing their day makes my heart burst x
“Oh my god Jackie,
I have been on an emotional rollercoaster this evening! I can't believe how BEAUTIFUL they all are!
I couldn't be happier, you captured the emotions, the atmosphere, the fun and made everything look soft and romantic and just stunning!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
The ones of my dad's speech are so emotive and his face when I'm walking down the steps to him and I can't get over how beautiful the golden hour ones at the little fox are, you've made me look beautiful and John looks so handsome and they're such romantic pictures!
You're totally awesome as a photographer and a friend! You are such a positive ray of sunshine and it was so great to share all of my plans with you and for you to be a part of our day xxxxxx xxxx xxxx”
Getting ready, those fun and sometimes frantic moments of preparation and then THOSE moments when you’re in your dress + your brother arrives + you take his breath away. Matthew + their Dad shared duties of giving Amy away + they both did such an amazing job!!
In the stunning outdoor setting of Ness Gardens, Amy’s older brother walked her to their Dad and he walked Amy up the remainder of the Aisle towards John.
Open Air ‘I do’s’ + a very sophisticated bridal party!!
NOW THESE DETAILS!!!! Hello, rocking the blue, the wedding favours which were packets of seeds (epic) the cake topper and the flowers…so much romance interlaced.
THIS PICTURE! I get as a viewer of this blog you’re only seeing snippets of the entire day but I hope it conveys the romance and happiness + the feeling of family centred love and the speeches always hold a lot of pressure for those delivering them and cross the spectrum on funny, crazy, embarrassing + loaded so THIS picture makes me tear up every time .
Unsure if he would be able to deliver a speech, Amy’s dad has been a little poorly so he and her older brother shared the moment - a moment arrived when Dad felt he was able + there was not a dry eye in the house, the sentiment + love radiated from him + I need another tissue again now……..
As day merges in to evening, the light (AMAZING LIGHT!!) changes and guests mingle, chuckle, have fun and catch up I was able to scoot around + capture some family fun and THEN Amy + John took themselves off for a little walk……..so divine + a peaceful breather before dancing, cake cutting and evening guests arrived……
First Dances can be soft r dramatic and I love how the blue lights capture these two perfectly and match their colour scheme!!!
Friday Night Confessionals......
HOW pretty is Bindi & Maarten’s wedding!!!!
Ahh and so Friday nights….September already and the weather is feeling crisp and warm all in the same day but Autumn is definitely on the way so it’s perfect (in my opinion) to be posting a wedding with such beautiful hues and tones and which had a day much like weather we are experiencing now, high chance of rain, clearing to heat and then super chilly evenings lol
Enough weather comparisons lol It’s the whole feeling of family love I LOVE about this wedding, and the details and the smoke and the colours and the love and did I mention the LOVE???? #sighs + I don’t think you’d guess the reception was in a grain store!!! or the cake constructed on site!! I know, it’s epic!!!
SUPER CONGRATULATIONS Bindi & Maarten xxxxxx
#WeddingWednesday !!

ONE WEEK to go!!!
Just ONE WEEK until Bindi & Maarten tie the knot + get married and I am sooo super excited, I can’t wait to capture this next step in their journey together.
A few weeks ago we caught up in Hampstead Heath for their ‘pre wedding’ pictures and had such a gorgeous time, beautiful setting and perfect weather :-)
A super sweet love story.....
Joanna + Joe
Ahhh oh my goodness, this is SUCH a super sweet + SUPER cute LOVE STORY!!!!
I met Joanna in late December 2018, she had just moved to London to follow her dreams and during our session mentioned a great guy she had been chatting to + was meeting later that evening, joking “ha! imagine I meet the love of my life here”
No less than three months later she messages me to share the most exciting news that she’s engaged!!! I was soooo super excited and we caught up in Greenwich in late April to create amazing engagement pictures <3 So fun + so exciting!!!!!!
